Although December seemed to start off sunny, we have had a lot of cloud over the last week with quite a few rain showers with some thunder and lightening thrown into the mix.  After just getting through the last weather warning and with plenty of downpours today, AEMET have announced yet another yellow alert for the Canary Islands.



The storm, which has made an appearance already will see heavy rain in the western province of the Gran Canaria, particularly in the west, south and east and will start off in the island of La Palma.  We are also to see strong winds and coastal phenomena mainly in the northern parts.

UPDATE: 17/12/09 - Gran Canaria is back on alert from Thursday evening 17/12/09 to Friday 18/12/09 for rain and wind gusts of up to 70 km/h.
