Reyes Shopping Madness in Las Palmas

Crowds of last minute shoppers filled the city of Las Palmas over the weekend and as we speak, buying presents for 3 Kings Day which is on Wednesday 6th January. Estimations from the Policia Local report there were more than 160.000 vehicles circulating around the main shopping centres in the city over the weekend.
Crisis or no crisis the shops were full of people, some with only a few more gifts to buy, others starting from scratch. Many shops such as Toys R Us have had special offers on for the last few days, slashing prices on certain toys and games, which may have enticed more last minute buyers.
Some clothes shops have had a spare of the moment 50% sale, just to grab the consumers, even though the January Sales do not start until the day after Reyes.
According to LaProvincia.es some of most demanded toys are Ben 10, Hello Kitty, Hannah Montana and board games such as Password, adaption of the popular TV show.
