Lidl Supermarket Grand Opening in Telde

Lidl Supermarket has had it's grand opening today in Telde. Goody bags, special offers, flowers and lot's of smiling faces. It sounds strange that there has been so much hype over a supermarket, but it is a very good thing for the island, especially in times of crisis.
Lidl even has it's own site for the Canary Islands and then separate pages for each island so you can check out the latest offers and savings. Great news for those missing Easter Eggs, Lidl have a special "Semana Santa" page with the offers for that week and it includes chocolate bunnies for 1,39€. There are many great savings and if you don't mind buying the "no frills" versions of things you can get some great bargains.
